The section of spirits and sweet wines features an important selection of Macallan including “The Macallan 1940 Bottled in 1981” (lot 1346, starting price 2,700 euros).
Filippo Bolaffi, Aste Bolaffi CEO, said: «With the first ‘Fine Wines and Spirits’ auction in November 2014, we debuted with the collection of a master of Italian enology, Luigi Veronelli. Three years later, we are honored to present bottles belonging to another legendary figure of Italian enology, Giacomo Tachis. If purchasing noteworthy wines provides a feeling of satisfaction, doing it with the certainty of a legendary pedigree is an experience that only happens a few times in a lifetime. This is one of those times».
